I’ve been working as a therapist for a little over six years. I’m a little older and this is my second career. I had the opportunity to go back to school once my children were all attending school.

I simply love being in this field! I went to school here in San Diego at the University of Phoenix. I live on a farm/winery with my husband, son, stepson, and a variety of farm animals. I have three adult daughters and my first grandchild is due in March. I’ve worked primarily with families where there is some type of domestic violence incident. I prefer not working with children but consider myself a good couples’ therapist. I will work with parents having issues with their children or people who are going through divorce. I can treat adult individuals, senior citizens, and persons of any sexual orientation/gender. My stepson is transgender, and this has provided me a significant insight regarding this.
Approach & Values
: I am trained in TF-CBT and AF-CBT. I’m primarily a strength-based and solution-focused therapist. I believe change comes from within and by changing self-talk almost anything is possible. I focus on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, behaviors and environment.
University of Phoenix
Most of my experience has been with domestic violence, child abuse, and trauma history.
